No two Goalies are the same

That's why our philosophy is to help uncover natural strengths leading to a more fluid and uncomplicated ways to go about stopping the puck that results in less mental confusion and quicker reaction time.

We do not force any particular style onto our students.

As goaltending evolves instructors must be willing to adapt and understand the benefits of new techniques and equipment.

Spring Camp

DateTuesdays & ThursdaysMarch 20 - May 24Time5-6p (7p w/ off-ice option)Location:New Hope Ice Arena

Attitude Goaltending’s Spring Training Program will work on each goaltenders’ individual skill sets. After a long season we want to address any nagging issues that you or your game may have with a 3-1 goalie to coach ratio. We will start with your foundation and skating, working out any issues with your balance and basic structure. We will also be doing a lot of puck handling and working on other variables that separate good goalies from great goalies.

Attitude Goaltending’s spring program is an exceptional opportunity to work on new techniques such as RVH and other low angle save selections. Attitude Goaltending’s Spring Training Program will provide the foundation for the rest of your off-season training program. Goalies will be grouped with same age/skill level and will have shots appropriate to their ability.

Pete has the knowledge, passion, and approachability that makes him a great coach for goalies of any age and skill. He stresses the fact that there are many ways to play the position and his coaching reflects that by giving goalies multiple options for a specific situation. At the end of the day he allows each goalie to emphasize strengths and improve on their weaknesses.

Small Group Program (SGP)

DateMondays & WednesdaysJune 11 - August 22*No Camp week of July 4Time1-3:30pLocation:New Hope Ice Arena

This training will result in goalies with better visual coordination and the ability to move their body in an intelligent manner. We believe that training outside the box as well as training the core movements, improves body awareness and overall agility.

On-ice sessions are broken down into 3 parts: skating/stick handling, crease movement and situational shooting drills. We stress simplicity through proper repetition.

Through proper repetition a goalie becomes smooth and able to use there skills when pressure is applied. This program will be offered to 9 goalies total. 20 hours of on-ice training & 20 hours of off ice training. 3:1 Coaching ratio.

Pete Samargia has been my personal goalie coach for the past six years and for the last three years I have also had the unbelievable opportunity to train young goalies with him.  Pete helps every goalie realize their individual potential with an approach based on trust and communication.  He is an exceptional on-ice instructor but he is an even better life coach.

He is my coach and my mentor and I am a better goalie because of him. More importantly, he has helped me become a better person which will carry me through life long after my playing days are completed.
