Mentorship Program

Why Attitude

Attitude Goaltending is proud to offer individual lessons this summer! If your goal is to make the Varsity Team, prepare for junior tryouts or to better your overall understanding of the game, then this program is for you. We help create an individual plan to develop current strengths and minimize deficiencies in both technique and understanding of game situations. Our training experience is unique because we help each goalie think critically so they know why each save selection is used and when to use them.

By identifying strengths and weaknesses within each individual goaltender we then assess what opportunities these strengths bring to each student. Finally, one can then properly assess and break down the weakness’s so that improvement can be seen in a session-to-session basis. In addition to developing skills I mentor students on how to handle adversity, goal setting and focus techniques. These are internal skills that are critical to a student’s success not only in hockey but also in life! Often the approach will determine the outcome, not preparing is preparing to fail! The student will develop a successful approach to both the mental and physical aspect of goaltending!

How goalies approach the game of hockey directly impacts their ability to improve their skills and enhance their understanding of the game. Attitude may not be everything but when coupled with a relentless work ethic, a goaltender can become a game stealer and a rock for a team to build on! Come train with me and I will help you achieve your goals!

We are proud to offer this unique training opportunity to only 14 goalies!

This program is designed to be an intense and complete goaltending experience. All programs include two parent meetings as well as an introductory meeting. Goalies that enroll in 1-1 sessions receive two video review sessions where we breakdown film together. Each session is 45 minutes to an hour and is based on session topics.

We start by teaching core fundamentals that are universal throughout the goaltending community, such as: proper stance, movement drills, gap control and situational awareness.

Each goalie will have the ability to sign up for the dates and time that works best for them. Before any student is accepted an introduction meeting must take place to insure that both student and the instructor understand expectations. Use the form to apply for the Mentorship Program.
